Information about the product category

What is acrygel?

Acrygel is a hybrid product that combines the properties of acrylic and gel, offering a unique solution for those seeking a strong yet flexible coating. This material has the flexibility of acrylic and the hardness of gel. Acrygel contains a mix of acrylic powder and gel, which, when combined, forms a substance that is very easy to work with.

It has a firm consistency and does not spread when applied to the nails. Acrygel is great for extending, repairing, and strengthening nails. A special acrygel liquid is required for application, which, when used to moisten the brush, allows the acrygel to be easily shaped and prevents it from sticking to the brush.

How to apply acrygel?

Applying acrygel requires precision and care for the best results. First, prepare the nail plate - clean, dehydrate, degrease, and apply a primer. Then, apply a thin base layer and cure it under a UV or LED lamp. Apply acrygel to the nail using a brush, special tool, or orange stick. Use a liquid designed for acrygel to prevent the acrygel from sticking to the tool, making it easier to apply. The key in this process is to apply it evenly to avoid lumps or uneven coverage. Once the desired shape is achieved, cure the nails under the lamp. After curing, the acrygel can be filed to give the nails the desired length, shape, and smoothness. To make the nail surface more even, use a buff before applying a colored coating.

Advantages of using acrygel

Acrygel has several advantages:

  • Dense consistency: Unlike liquid gels, this material does not spread to the sides or under the cuticle and retains its shape.
  • Quick curing time: Acrygel cures in 60 seconds under an LED lamp and 120 seconds under a UV lamp.
  • Minimal filing needed: Acrygel can be smoothly evened out.
  • Convenient for beginners.

Can acrygel be used on short nails?

Yes, acrygel can be used on short nails. It is an excellent solution for strengthening short nails, providing them with additional strength. Due to its versatility, acrygel can be used on nails of any length and shape.

Differences between acrygel and classic gel

Acrygel and classic gels differ in composition, hardness, and application technique. Acrygel consists of a mixture of acrylic powder and gel, while classic gel is based solely on gel. Classic gel is considered to be more rigid and strong than acrygel, hence gel nails are generally more durable and stable. The application techniques also significantly differ. Gel has a liquid consistency and is applied with a brush, evenly spreading and allowing the material to self-level. Acrygel, however, requires a special medium that provides flexibility and ease of work with a brush, it does not spread or self-level.
